Mia L, Mia G, Ellie, and Ariyah all were awarded game balls for their excellent play this weekend. The Timberwolves travel to Danbury next Sunday in a league matchup, where we find ourselves currently ranked third place overall out of 17 teams with a league record of 4-1.
Mia L continued her great weekend of hitting totaling 4 more hits, 3 runs scored, 3 RBIs, and 3 stolen bases. Sundays highlights include Mia G hitting a nice double, Ariyah a nice triple, and Nina had 2 doubles. Ella also had 2 hits on Sunday, and Ellie and Summer each walked 4 times. Zoey pitched the first game, getting the win and striking out 7. Lainey, Nina, and Ellie combined in the second game with Nina earning the win. Ellie, Ariyah, Ava, and Zoey made some excellent defensive plays, and Leigha and Nina were both able to catch runners stealing at catcher.
Saturday we took on the league-leading Stars in an exhibition matchup. Although we lost 1-5, they held a tough team and were in it until the end. Ariyah was on the mound striking out 2. Zoey pitched the final inning and struck out 1 with no runs allowed. Mia G led the defense with some excellent play at 2nd base. Mia L went 1-2 and scored our only run, driven in by Zoey.
The Timberwolves took the 6 seed at The Mayhem Madness 10u Tournament this weekend with a 1-2 record. They lost their game today.
