Hello Families,

Here are some more updates for this weekend's Home Opener.

1. Uniforms:  Please come to the stadium locker room 20 minutes before your warm-up time If you have not received your uniform yet or need to exchange game pants.  A reminder about game pants is that they should be tight fitting and not baggy.  (ex. If you play at 11am, your warm-up time is 10am, arrive at the locker room at 9:40am to try on and exchange pants). Please bring your practice pants in case we do not have your size for Saturday.  We will work to get that corrected by Game 2.

2. Volunteers:  We are still in need of volunteers for the Concessions Saturday.  Currently we have 0 people signed up for the 12:30 and 2:30 shifts. Revenue from our concessions is a huge revenue source Mt. Pleasant Youth Football that helps offset our uniform costs, purchase new equipment and operate our program.  Please look it over and consider helping out. Click on the link below.

3. Saturday Game Times

** Players should arrive 1 hour prior to game time to begin pre-game warm-ups dressed in Game Day Uniforms.

Game Times for Saturday, August 26th:

  • 11:00 am - 3rd/4th Grade Coach Loonsfoot vs. Meridian 1

  • 1:00 pm - 5th/6th Grade MP2 Coach Crueger vs Meridian 1

  • 3:00 pm - 5th/6th Grade MP1 Coach Zeien vs Meridian 2

4. Game Field/Track Policy:

Mt. Pleasant Community Memorial Stadium’s track has been under repair all summer.  It is NOT completed yet.  You will notice the outside of the track is covered by black plastic covering and the track has a plastic covering sealing it.  ONLY coaches and players will be allowed on the field Saturday and NO ONE will be allowed on the track for any reason. Please be respectful and mindful of this Saturday, so we can continue to use Mt. Pleasant’s stadium.

5. Sportsmanship:

Please be respectful of Game Officials, Coaches, Players, Volunteers, and other Spectators.  Let’s come out and show our visiting teams how to lead by example.  Yes, there will be penalties and plays by coaches you don’t agree with.  That is okay to not agree, but does not allow for anyone to attack game officials or coaches. Our player’s are watching and more importantly Listening to how we handle situations.  Be the Example, Not the Problem.  Mt. Pleasant Youth Football has a 24 hour rule. There is a time and place to have conversations with coaches and immediately following a game is not the time.  Give coaches 24 hours to contact them if you would like to have a conversation.

Thank you and we look forward to another great season from out teams.
