HUSTLE HOOPS

When we (Tori, Tyler, and Greg) launched our non-profit, Santa Barbara House of Hustle, the goals were to develop a club basketball program AND to open up a sports facility with multiple basketball/ volleyball courts to serve the needs of our community. The club program is going great (over 200 families were part of the program last year), and we're actively pursuing a facility to accomplish the second goal.

We took over SB Magic from the Page Youth Center when the PYC Board wanted to separate the club program from the running of the youth center. Regarding the health of the club program and the number of youth basketball players impacted, it's been a good separation.

The next phase of our separation is using our name for the club program. SB Magic was created by some extraordinary employees and volunteers of PYC when there was tremendous uncertainty about the future of club basketball in our community. We applaud all those that put so much time and effort into getting the club program going. As we strive to accomplish the second goal of opening a facility, it is time to make the change.

As we move into this next club season, SB Magic is now HUSTLE HOOPS. While we will still maintain a close relationship with PYC and use the facility for many practices, the name change completes the separation that started a year ago. We'll also have an exciting color change. The new logo and colors are coming soon, but to get a peak at the color scheme, check out our non-profit website: https://sbhouseofhustle.com/. It'll be the same color scheme but a different logo. You can also look at the Miami Heat's Vice Nights jersey to see how it looks.

Our current season is going very well. The 6th-grade team just won a big tournament in Los Angeles with Coach Juan, and all the teams have continued to improve. With the success of our current teams, our fantastic coaching staff, and the improvements we've made, we're very excited about the upcoming club season.

All the best,

Greg, Tori, and Tyler
