Baltimore, MD — Saturday's game was apart of a local 14U Jamboree consisting of several teams in Baltimore. We were the primetime game under the lights a much anticipated matchup. The game time started a few hours late due to scheduling issues. We didn't hit the field until a little after 9pm, the boys had been waiting and were becoming restless in anticipation to play. We got the ball 1st and on the 1st play we gained about 70+ yards on an excellent run by the rb following behind excellent blocks from the line. Two plays later we punched it in from inside the 5 yard line with the back that got us there, let him finish it off, the extra point kick was good and we go up 8-0. Defensively we pretty much stopped them from moving the ball every drive they had in the 1st half. The offense moved the ball consistently but failed to reach the end zone again in the 1st half. The 2nd half was pretty much the same, the defense shutting down everything from the run to the pass. They took advantage of a bad snap from the offense and caused a safety, putting us up 10-0 in the 3rd. Offensively a lot of scoring chances were missed again in the second half as we failed to get on the board anymore. Relying on a dominating defensive effort, we went on the maintain another shut out 10-0. The game ended a little after 10pm, the boys were tired but winning made the wait worth it. Couldn't celebrate too long as we had to do it all over again the next day and travel back to Baltimore in the morning. The plan was to rest up and be ready to go again the next day...............
