Mission Viejo, CA — We traveled across the freeway to play Capo Valley today and were dealt a bad hand. The Lions fielded 7th period PE girls in round 1, which included 4 only starters, allowing the others to remain in class. After a slow 2 - 4 start, the final two rounds were split 3-3 for an 8 - 10 loss. "Playing 15 players in a friendly is ok," say KOach Kirk, "but, we need to get some production from the bench, especially in total game count, in case of a 9-9 tied game-count. Had we captured another round 3 set, we would have won by game count 68 to 63." The Lions practice tomorrow before hosting Huntington Beach, who were CIF champions a couple of years ago and field some very highly ranked players. GO LIONS !!!
