Burnsville, MN — Burnsville jumped out to an early lead over Lakeville south and took home a 5-1 victory on Wednesday. Even with the threat of severe weather, Burnsville got things started with a run scored on a fielder's choice by Brandon Einberger, a single by Connor Asleson, and an error in the first inning. Jack Skoglund was credited with the victory for the Blaze. The bulldog lasted five and a third innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out three. Burnsville racked up seven hits on the day. Asleson and Kenny Steffen each racked up multiple hits. Asleson went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the team in hits. Steffen led with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with five stolen bases. Burnsville didn't commit a single error in the field.
