Hanford, CA — Avery Smith showed timely hitting in Sunday's third game, driving in four on three hits to lead Dirtdogs Lujan past Firecrackers Keene/Olson 10-4 on Sunday. Smith drove in runs on a single in the first, a single in the third, and a double in the sixth. The Dirtdogs earned the victory despite allowing the Firecrackers to score four runs in the sixth inning. B Conley, Cadence McIrvin, Rylynn Stenderup, and Selah Greene all contributed in the big inning with RBIs. The Dirtdogs scored three runs in the sixth inning. Smith and Sophia Martinez each had RBIs in the big inning. Emma Hernandez was the winning pitcher for the Dirtdogs. The righty allowed seven hits and four runs over six innings, striking out five and walking one. McIrvin started the game for the Firecrackers.
