Kent, WA — Ned Bishop had all the right stuff on Wednesday for Baden Black Sox, allowing zero runs and besting CBA Northwest by a score of 13-0. He went five innings, striking out seven and walking zero. Bishop also led Baden to victory by driving in four runs on offense. Bishop went 3-for-4 at the plate. He drove in runs on a single in the first, a fielder's choice in the third, and a single in the fourth. Baden got the offense fired up in the first inning with Bishop's single scoring two runs on a 1-2 count. Baden then notched five runs in the fourth inning. Tran, Bishop, Story, Keane, and Marx each had RBI's in the big inning. A single by Prandekar in the first inning was one of only three hits for CBA in the game. Skimming took the loss for CBA. The righty lasted three innings, allowing five hits and four runs. Bade tallied 14 hits in the outing. Bishop, Haupert, and Tran all had multiple hits. Abner ignited the team with a triple late in the game. Baden did not commit a single error in the field. Kelly had seven chances in the field, most on the team. Sneed led Baden with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with seven stolen bases. With this win, Baden's record in the Seattle Elite League Silver Division moved to 8-2 and is currently tied for first in the Rainier division.
