Olympia, WA — Even though the Black Sox gave up four runs in the first inning of a wet, frigid, and blustery Saturday night game, they still defeated the Kitsap Rebels 15-7. Bats blistered as Baden collected 10 hits and Kitsap Rebels tallied four in the high-scoring game. Baden opened up scoring in the first inning, when Kelly singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run. Keane took the win for Baden Black Sox. The southpaw surrendered six runs on three hits over one and two-thirds innings, striking out three. Eaton threw two and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen. Painter led things off on the pitcher's mound for Kitsap Rebels. The righty surrendered seven runs on three hits over one-third of an inning. Gillespie and Wendt entered the game from the bullpen, throwing three and a third innings and one-third of an inning respectively. Baden collected ten hits on the day. Tran, Sneed, Abaga each collected multiple hits. Baden was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Kelly had the most chances in the field with seven. It was a slow game, riddled with a tight strike zone from the umpire leading to 19 walks. The game ended after 4 innings due to time limit for a late night finish ending close to 11 PM.
