Irvine, CA — Crean graduated 5 starters from last year's team while JSerra picked up 3 top starters [vs last year's lineup] . JSerra tennis goes 18 - Oh two consecutive days and is matched by JV's performance. Coaches don't think that has been accomplished even on one day. Crean's coach asked if we could play with their subs as partners in round 3 to avoid severe mismatches and it turned out to be a hoot! Julian and Ellie, however, played for keeps in round 3, subbing in and beating Crean's top doubles team 6 - 2. Ellie and Julia make a good team and are tough to beat! Crean's #1 singles player is very accomplished and gave the Lions tough competition. And although the score was lopsided, the last matches on; Scarlett vs Crean #2 and Jazmin vs Crean #1 were very entertaining and alot closer than their respective 6-2 scores. "How hot was it?!?!" my phone was too hot to post during play AND Mr Ciraci was kind enough to send this picture of JSerra and their sub teammates! Practice tomorrow, frosh at home Friday, get some good workouts in because Huntington is VERY tough... we travel there Tuesday! GO Lions!
