San Juan Capistrano, CA — JV “travel squads” S & B stepped up to win big this afternoon, dispatching the Saints 18 - 0. Coach Mike suggested an all doubles format because they brought 20 girls and with the heat today, it was a smart decision. All JSerra players got plenty of playing time today: 9 got 2 sets in, while 6 got 3 sets in. Again, while the whole team gets 100% win status, we’re rewarding our bench players with MVP Honors for their efforts today. Jacqueline Poli and Colette Chang and Siena Livak teamed at line #6 doubles for ez 6-1, 6-2, 6-3 wins. Sydney Wood won both her sets played for MVP honors as well, one with Hailey Klein, one with Caitlyn Davidson. Caitlyn and Hailey started at line 5 with a 6-1 win. JSerra was perfect in the top half of the “draw”. Sophia Staff and Natalia Gitibin at line #1, Olivia Nowlan and Captain Ava Hetland at line #2, Alma Bayat and Neeka Barkhordar at line #3 doubles. Our perfect day ended with Alma and Neeka winning a tie-breaker 7-1 after tying 5-5. Well done ladies, all of you. Next up: at Huntington Beach, Tuesday, Sept. 6th, 2:30pm.
