South Pasadena, CA — The South Pasadena Varsity Tigers came up short against the Nogales Nobels on Friday, March 3 in the last game before league play starts on March 7. Owen Woodworth started the game for the Tigers, striking out 4 and keeping Nogales to two runs. Carlo Maling and Luke Riffle came on in relief. Aside from hits from Raphi Hall, Devin Robinson, and Jason Yipp, the highlight of the afternoon was two spectacular catches by left fielder Riffle and center fielder Yipp. The Tigers will play La Cañada to kick off league play on Tuesday.
