Caledonia, MI — Varsity Caledonia Fighting Scots watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in an 8-1 loss to Grandville on Tuesday. Grandville took the lead on a single in the first inning. The Fighting Scots struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Grandville, giving up eight runs. Grandville opened up scoring in the first inning, scoring one run. Grandville scored four runs in the third inning. Nick Slater took the loss for the Scots. Lasting four innings, allowing three hits and five runs while striking out two. Corbin Raffler led Caledonia with two hits in three at bats.
