Caledonia, MI — The Fighting Scots stole the lead late in the game in a 9-6 victory over Grand Haven on Tuesday night in game two of the doubleheader. The game was tied at six with Caledonia batting in the bottom of the fourth when the Scots' Corbin Raffler successfully squeeze bunted two runs home and reached third on Grand Haven's error on the play. Cal would hold onto the head and take the victory. Jacob Stoczynski led the Fighting Scots to victory on the mound. The hurler allowed one hit and zero runs over one and one-third innings, striking out one and walking one. Justin Hatzel took the loss for Grand Haven Buccaneers Varsity. The pitcher lasted three innings, allowing six hits and eight runs while striking out one. Aaron Hileman started the game for Caledonia. Hileman threw three clean innings, but surrendered six runs in the fourth inning and gave way to Stoczynski who held Grand Haven the rest of the way. Tommy Clarey went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Caledonia in hits. Caledonia was flawless in the field, committing zero errors. Clarey also led Varsity Caledonia Fighting Scots with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with five stolen bases.
