Holland, MI — Even though the Fighting Scots gave up three runs in the fourth inning, they still defeated West Ottawa 10-3 on Tuesday. Caledonia got things moving in the first inning. They scored one run when Tommy Clarey singled and scoring Derek Pennington who singled earlier in the inning. Two more scored in the first when Jacob Stoczynski each on an error that scored Drew Drennan and Clarey. The Scots scored three more runs in the sixth inning. The offensive onslaught by the Scots was led by Derek Pennington, Clarey, and Nick Slater, all knocking in runs in the inning. Michael Douglass was the starting pitcher for Caledonia. The left hander surrendered three runs on five hits over three and a third innings, striking out two and walking zero. Slater came in relief and picked up the win by throwing three and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen. Caledonia had 11 hits in the game. Pennington, Cam Myers, and Corbin Raffler all collected multiple hits.
