#9 Herrin v. #1 Marion

Tigers are still alive!!!! #9 Herrin upsets #1 Marion in the regional semifinal 6-4! Tigers will play the winner of Mt. Vernon or Carbondale for the regional title Friday. Branson Hill got the tigers off to a great start hitting a 2 run bomb to take a quick 2-0 lead in the top of the 1st. Sophie Schramm followed with an RBI single scoring 2 runs in the top of the fifth to make it 4-2. Jersey Summers finished the scoring with a monster double to right center to score 2 more runs making it 6-2. Sophie Schramm picks up the win in the circle pitching all 7 innings allowing 4 runs (2 earned) on 10 hits! Amazing TEAM effort all around! Tiger defense was working hard today!
