Littleton, CO — I think the score says it all. As good as we played last week on the road, we came home this weekend and got out-hit, outplayed and out-coached. Hats off to Coach Van Praag, as his Cougars played with great heart and controlled the time of possession all night. At the other end of the barrel, we are holding it together with the 20 Lions left standing. I'm proud of these guys. They embody what we hope to be known for one day. We talk about "Attitude & Effort" every day and I can honestly attest that each one of them is giving their all - every last drop of blood, sweat, and tears they possess. Most people would not even enter the alley, given the odds these young men walk into each week. It takes a special kind of man to face failure, overcome fear, and spit in its eye! In society we don’t talk about this enough. We talk about wins, we boast stats, but we don’t put enough emphasis on character, integrity, clear eyes and true heart. These 20 guys are so very special, as they are road grading a clear path, through granite, to the top of the mountain. They are setting the foundation for years to come. Outside of a football family, these kind of men never get the credit they deserve. But, in this family, our Littleton Lion football family - “We Know and we’re forever thankful!” Go Lions Coach V #TheHeartofALion, #LiveWithTheEndInMind #ItsMoreThanAGame, #LifelongRelationships, #NoRegrets
