Rogue River, OR — Playing on grass is always an adjustment of pace and pressure. Playing on a smaller field is a whole other challenge. The challenge for our Challenger ladies was to control the game and maintain possession to create chances on goal, which is tough to do in these conditions. However, our ladies did incredible as our stats clearly show: 1st Half: CCHS Shots: 15 CCHS Shots on goal: 10 CCHS Goals: 1 CCHS Disallowed goals: 2 CCHS Goalkeeper Saves: 2 (Josie) Opponents shots: 2 Opponents goal: 0 ... 2nd Half: CCHS Shots: 17 CCHS Shots on goal: 11 CCHS Goals: 3 OUR GK Saves: 0 (Shiloh) Opponents shots: 0 Opponents goal: 0 From the start we possessed and attacked unrelenting. Our first two goals were disallowed, which included an effort from Aubrey Hess who dribbled through 4 defenders. Our first goal came later from a through ball from Jordynn Jones to Angelica Arch who placed it into the corner. Our defense shined with Mae Ferreira holding the back line allowing only 2 shots all game that were easy saves for our keeper. In the second half our pressure wore down Rogue River as Aubrey Hess passed a brilliant ball into the corner for Emma Coats who played a cut-back to Jordynn Jones near the top of the box who shot it past the keeper. Less than 4 minutes later Aubrey Hess again passed a ball over the top to Emma Coats in the corner who played another great cut-back pass to Aubrey Hess who followed up and blasted it into the net for our third goal. 10 minutes later after switching sides of the field, Taylor Folin played a wonderful downline pass to Emma Coats who (once again) made a third cut back pass to Aubrey Hess who's shot on goal was deflected by the keeper and cleaned up by a rushing Mae Ferreira who put it away for our 4th goal.
