Winston, OR — The Challenger ladies played their most controlled game of the season, dominating possession and attacking chances, as well as a perfect defensive shutout. Our first goal came from a won ball by Aubrey Hess who found Taylor Folin at the corner of the goal box who put a shot on goal that the keeper couldn't hold onto. The Challengers crashed the goal and Sienna Wilcox cleaned up, taking us up 1-0 in 10 minutes. 20 minutes later a through ball found Emma Coats who took a kick in the box winning a PK, that Aubrey Hess looking, finding the back of the net. Aubrey Hess played a great game and in the second half a Free Kick was given in which she took and blasted a beautiful ball that hit the post and went into the net. Just 6 minutes later, after a spell of possession, the Challenger ladies wore down the defense as Jordynn Jones sent a ball to Emma Coats who managed to evade two defenders and kick it with her off foot past the keeper. With 7 minutes left in the game, Jordynn Jones got her second assist and helped Aubrey Hess complete her hat trick as she played a through ball that Hess received and dribbled through a defender then placed her shot into the side netting. The Challenger ladies hope to maintain this momentum and mindset moving forward. Working to complete an astounding 84% of their 321 passes, compared to Douglas's 62 passes. Creating 16 shots and 18 crosses. Maintaining aggressive defense that only allowed the ball to be in our defending half for 12% of the game. Keeping possession over 70% of the entire game.
