Tonganoxie, KS — Tonight started with great promise. We moved the ball well in the first half and created a lot of chances but we weren’t able to find the back of the net. The second half we came out flat and weren’t able to really get connected for the first 30 minutes. We created many chances again but weren’t able to find the back of the net during that time. We made a few mistakes and were beat and had 2 goals scored on us. I suspect the reason we came out flat was my change in tactics in the 2nd half. We were able to bounce back and Carter Watson scored his first Varsity goal with an assist from Cole Kessler. Jackson McWilliams was our rock in the back along with both Lachlan McRae and Lachlan Bond. The boys will have a light practice tomorrow and get a day off. They will practice again Sunday evening to prepare for their game against Bonner Springs on Monday. These boys are starting to connect things and we look to play a full 80 minutes at our potential. I can’t wait for everyone to see the talent and the team we have. There is so much promise in these boys this season.
