Pilgrims Knob, VA — The Lady Panthers fell to 2-1 with a 50-39 loss to Phelps in night two of the Ramey's Chevrolet Hoopalachia Hardwood Classic. The Panthers were led by Rayne Hawthorne, 23 points, 12 rebounds, 2 blocks and Cheyanna Davis 12 points (2 Three pointers). The Panthers trailed 22 to 21 at the half and were unable to overcome a slow start in the 3rd quarter in which they were outscored 16 to 7 by Phelps. The Lady Panthers will play Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy at 6:00 pm tomorrow (Saturday, 12/2) in game 7 of a nine game day in Hoopalachia.
