Pigeon, MI — Cass City Red Hawks Varsity could not keep pace with Lakers 4-3 on Monday at Elkton-Pigeon Bay Port School. Cass City Red Hawks Varsity were the first to get on the board in the third when a steal of home scored one run. Lakers took the lead, 4-2, in the bottom of the fifth thanks to singles by Lucas Wehner, and Carson McCain. Coltyn Talaski earned the win for Lakers. The starting pitcher surrendered two hits and three runs (one earned) over six innings, striking out three and walking two. Wehner earned the save. Carson Anthes took the loss for Cass City Red Hawks Varsity. The righty went five and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs (two earned) on four hits, striking out four and walking two. Jackson Anthony, Anthes, and Luke Tschirhart each collected one hit for Cass City Red Hawks Varsity. Anthes and Carter Patrick each drove in one run for Cass City Red Hawks Varsity.
