Laguna Beach, CA — Laguna Beach High School played against El Toro High School in a junior varsity match on Monday, February 26th, at Ben Brown's golf course in Laguna Beach. In both team's first match of the season, the Breakers came away with the victory, 210-260. Shooting 210 as a team is a fantastic start to the season, as it's the lowest JV score at Ben Browns in the last 4 seasons. With continued improvement, we could see some JV records fall this season. Laguna's Trent Beason and Beckett Thomson shared co-medalist honors, posting the low scores of the match with a pair of 41's. Teddy Hackett was right behind shooting 42. Kellinger Frey (43), James Schroeder (43), Sasha Riahi (47), and Noah Kimball (47) rounded out the scoring for the team. Laguna will travel to the Oso Creek golf course in Mission Viejo next week for a rematch with El Toro on their home course.
