CA — JV squad had a fairly balanced attack today with 5 singles set wins (Robert Thornton 2, Johnny Tavares 2 and Thomas Gormley. We got 6 set wins from our doubles teams today: Michael Aceves - 2 (one each with Alex Gibson and another with Sam Gou); 1 from Luke Krolikowski w Alex “the Sax” Trask; and 3 sets from MVP boys Kayden Kral and Enzo Biundo. Next up: NIGHT MATCH at Crean Lutheran, 5:30pm on Tuesday, March 5th.

Michael was 100% this afternoon, winning both of his only sets in doubles: one with Alex Gibson and again with Sam Gou. Well done Michael.

Enzo Biundo

Enzo teamed with Kayden to sweep all 3 doubles sets, including a 3rd round, marquee tie-breaker set 6-5 over their top doubles teams.

Kayden Kral

Kayden teamed with Enzo Biundo winning all 3 sets with some great net play and a consistent first serve.

Johnny Tavares

Johnny opened the match with a 6-3 victory over their top player. He also beat their #3 player and won 2 of 3 sets played today.

Robert Thornton

Robert fought back from 1-5 to force and win a tie-breaker set (12-10) against a very good #2 player. After winning an ez 2nd round match, Robert found himself on the wrong side of a tie-breaker, in a tight match against the top-seeded player with everybody watching - last set of the day.
