Bethlehem, PA — Easton Red Rover nation had been talking since the last time Freedom played Easton. They said their pitcher had an off night and their bats went cold in the earlier matchup, just last week, where Freedom got the win. But they were eager to get another chance to prove they were better. Well, The Patriots would prove them wrong again with landing the last punch in this back and forth fight. Easton would jump out to a quick 2 run lead in the top of the 1st inning. That seemed to wake the Patriots up as they answered right back in their half of the frame. Michael Cobb would lead the offense with 4 RBI’s on two hits to include his game tying single in the second and the clutch two out game tying single in the bottom of the 4th inning. Michael Horvath had a solid outting on the mound for Freedom. He kept the hitters of balance and made the Rovers put it in play. Horvath would hold the game steady through the 6th inning when The Patriots would manufacture 2 runs to go up 6-4 going into the 7th inning. John Phillips would come in for Freedom to earn the save and quiet the Red Rovers last gasp. The Patriots improve to 9 wins on the season matching their total wins in 2023 with still 5 games remains before the post season.
