Pine Bush, NY — In a heartfelt tribute to Morgan Rodgers, a former Duke University lacrosse player, Pine Bush dedicated the game against Washingtonville to raising awareness for mental health through “Morgan’s Message,” a non-profit established by Morgan’s family and teammates. It is through this work that we continue to spread awareness for improving mental health among student-athletes and eliminate the stigma around getting help. The team's unity and determination was evident as soon as they took the field. Demonstrating exceptional teamwork, Pine Bush distributed the ball effectively, resulting in seven different players contributing to the scoring. Sam Budney, Sophia Licardi, Katie Cragan, and Anneliese Vitale each secured three goals, while Lillian Atria and Mackenzie Brown added two each while Camryn Kodgis netted one. Grace Grant displayed her skill with eight crucial saves, anchoring the team's defense. Throughout the game players adjusted to new positions and continued their progression as a team. Pine Bush secured a decisive 17-6 victory and improves to 10-4 on the season.
