Capuchino v San Mateo
It was Senior Night at San Mateo HS and the Bearcats made sure their only Senior, Yanira Nunez would have a night to remember. Capuchino jumped out to an early 9-6 lead, but then Bella Fong got hot. Bella had an And 1 and three quick 3’s spurring the Bearcats to a 17-0 run and San Mateo won going away. Bella would finish with 18 points, Kaitlyn Schuh had another double double with 11 points and 14 rebounds, Violet MacAvoy had 6 points and 4 blocks, Addison Busse had a putback and Samantha Liu added a free throw, but it was Yanira’s Night and she didn’t disappoint with 4 points, 5 steals and 7 deflections!
