Ontario, CA — Colony defeated Alta Loma Varsity Braves 15-0 on Friday thanks in part to eight runs in the third inning. A single by Noah Lara put Colony on the board in the bottom of the first. Colony added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Elijah Ybanez singled to center field, Alta Loma Varsity Braves committed an error, and Anthony Garcia grounded out, each scoring one run. Colony scored eight runs on three hits in the bottom of the third inning. Jared Coleman tripled, scoring two runs, Aidan Castro singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Lara singled, scoring one run, Brody Litwin drew a walk, scoring one run, Ricardo Zazueta hit into a double play, but one run scored, and Coleman grounded out, scoring one run. Lara earned the win for Colony. The hurler allowed three hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out seven and walking two. Logan Sein pitched three innings in relief for Alta Loma Varsity Braves. The pitcher gave up four hits and eight runs (two earned) while, striking out three and walking four. Nathaniel Pimentel took the loss for Alta Loma Varsity Braves. The starting pitcher went two innings, surrendering seven runs (four earned) on four hits, striking out two and walking six. Jacob Pimentel, Jake Zandbergen, Micah Rush, and Grant MacCharles each collected one hit for Alta Loma Varsity Braves. Alta Loma Varsity Braves turned one double play in the game.
