Stratford Battles But Comes Up Short
Stratford hosted league rival Masuk on Wednesday with a good crowd in the stands & great weather in place. And it was superbly played baseball game both teams for those who enjoy that type of baseball with pitchers competing, defenses excelling, & fans nail biting. Stratford lost 1-0, but the team shouldn’t be discouraged. Rather, the opposite (encouragement) as this game proved with focus, good preps during pre-game, & a team staying together, Stratford can play with anybody. Senior Ethan Hill was simply outstanding in his 7 inning effort, only throwing 96 pitches, & only yielded 1 run with a bloop single scoring that. Stratford’s hits came in the form of Soph Aiden Gonzalez’s oppo single to RF & Junior Max Own going oppo with a late double in the 6th inning to RF.
