Macuga's Buzzer Beater Wins It vs Nueva
Sequoia Varsity battled back and forth with the Nueva School Mavericks. It was a tough shooting night for the Ravens as we shot 13/60 (21.7%) from the field. The final 2 minutes saw the Ravens come from behind and take the lead, to the Mavericks stealing a possession and tying the game, to Sequoia coming down the court and having a jump ball as time expired. Referees had a quick discussion and added 1.0 seconds to the game clock as the score was tied up 32 - 32. Guard Olivia Macuga (SO) cut to the corner for a pass from Xochitl Gonzalez (SO) and launched a 3 pointer as time expired. Macuga finished with 13 points, 7 rebounds, 4 steals, and 2 assists.
