Varsity wins in last minute goal 3-2; JV wins 2-0
The Lady Chieftains scraped by a 3-2 victory against Ottawa. The first goal for the Chieftains came from Marissa Dick with an assist from Lilli Sanders in the 20th minute. Natalie Loving led the half with four shots, Dick, Sanders, and Evelynn Fox each had two shots. Lauren Breuer ended the first half with two saves. The start of the second half immediately put the Chieftains into danger when Ottawa scored on a breakaway in the 41st minute. Molly Vought added to the score with an assist from Grace Weatherford in the 62nd minute. Ottawa scored off of a corner kick in the 77th minute to tie things up once again. With the end in sight, the score stood at 2-2 with teams prepping to play overtime. Legan Caraway dribbled her way through several players and unleashed a shot to earn the Chieftains the win with two minutes left to play. Lauren Breuer held up with four more saves. The Chieftains face their toughest oppenent yet on Tuesday, April 21st at home against Spring Hill.
