When Laguna needed someone to step up, William Golden answered the call. With Charlie Christian unable to play in the second half and the Breakers already missing key players in the backfield, Golden took on an expanded role and helped keep the Laguna offense moving in a hard-fought second half.

CO-MVP

Xavier Brooks

Asked to step into a new role at running back, Xavier Brooks delivered. His ability to adapt and contribute when the Breakers needed him most was a huge part of Laguna’s second-half effort and earned him Player of the Game honors.

#19 TE, DE, DT

Brady Stringham

Brady Stringham was a difference-maker all night. He hauled in touchdown catches of 2 and 6 yards from Jack Hurst to help Laguna build an early 14–0 lead, then added a field goal in the second half to put the Breakers back on top. Two touchdowns and a field goal in a huge night for Stringham.

#2 WR

Jack Hurst

Jack Hurst led the Breakers offense and kept Laguna fighting until the final possession. He connected with Brady Stringham for two first-half touchdowns, hit Luca Guzman for a huge completion during the fourth-quarter comeback, and found Will Kimball for the touchdown that pulled Laguna within five. Hurst then helped lead the Breakers to the Westlake 7-yard line on their final drive, giving Laguna a chance to win it late.
