Wachusett beat Franklin 35-28
Wachusett defeated Franklin 35–28 in an exciting back-and-forth game. Thomas Anderson opened the scoring with a 51-yard touchdown run to give the Mountaineers an early 7–0 lead. Tanner Gaffney then electrified the game with a 69-yard punt return for a touchdown, extending the lead to 14–0. Anderson connected with Max Brown on a 21-yard touchdown pass to make it 21–0. After Franklin battled back, Gaffney broke loose for a 52-yard touchdown run to put Wachusett ahead 28–7. Brown added his second touchdown reception of the game on a 5-yard pass from Anderson. With Franklin mounting a late comeback, Jayden Schnare came up with a game-winning interception to seal the 35–28 victory for Wachusett.
