Garden Grove, CA — We went up to Garden Grive a bit short handed and after forfeiting a few sets, nearly came away with a victory, losing 12-9. Because we had only 6 players at the beginning of the match, the coaches agreed to play a quasi-college format, which allowed our players to play both singles and doubles. Most everybody got to play 3 full sets today - it was fun. In addition to our MVP’s for the day, a well earned shout out to Madi Crawford and LuLu Marasigan who won their first ever sets of singles! Same was true for Mia Contreras, Annie Sherwood and LuLu Hill who are honored as MVP’s this afternoon. Thank you ladies for showing up and competing so well today. Today’s format was a “double header” with Coach Wilson and the DH-1 squad battling Santa Margarita on our home courts. Next up: A & C squads at Portola this Wednesday - 3pm.
