On the final day of the MHSAA Division 1 State Finals, Racheeni Her carded an 83 on the day. Her two-day total for the tournament at Katke Golf Course on the campus of Ferris State University was 169. That score placed Racheeni 18th overall out of 107 players. A great performance in her very first State Finals appearance.
107 players are competing in the Division 1 Girls Golf State finals over two days. After the first day of competition, Racheeni Her is in 22nd place after finishing with a hard-fought 86 on a very challenging golf course. After a 90-minute frost delay and during the course of six-hour round of golf, Racheeni hung in there and finished strong by playing the final six holes at even par. Racheeni tees of Saturday 1oam at Katke Golf Course on the campus of Ferris State University.
The Holt Rams Varsity Golf team finished 6th at the MHSAA Regional tournament at Forest Akers East Golf Course with a team score of 384. Holt was led by Racheeni Her with a 79. Vivianna Hernandez with a 94 and Grace Atkinson with a 101 were next for the Rams. Lauren Johnson with 110 and Maddy Gleason with 113 completed the scoring for Holt. Racheeni Her finished 5th overall as an individual and qualified for the Division 1 MHSAA State Finals on Friday 10/18 and Saturday 10/19 at Ferris State University's Katke Golf Course.
What a night! Varsity got it done in four with some interesting plays! Our very own Chloe Buckley managed to punch her own nose, giving her a bloody nose. JV and F did not come away with the win on the court but they won the battle of the student section!
