Vanden finish league play with 3-2 victory over McClatchy

The Vikings boys volleyball team finished league play with a 3-2 (23-25, 25-20, 21-25, 25-11, 15-13) win over McClatchy. Vanden improves to 11-3 in league play and 22-11 overall. Next week the Vikings will be starting the SJS playoffs riding an 8 game win streak. Jr setter Tavas Spencer had 46 assists. Sr OH Christian Ting had 17 kills and 8 digs. Sr Oppo Dallas Pabon made some critical plays in the fifth set and put away the game with his last kill. He hit .625 with 6 kills, 1 error. Sr libero Dylan Hoang led the team in digs with 14.

MEL Rodriquez vs Vanden

Morning want to thank all the volunteers who helped out with our track meet. Here are the final meet results: Var. Boys: Van 79 Rod 33, Var. Girls: Van 77 Rod 34. F/S Boys: Van 76 Rod 7, F/S Girls: Van 43 Rod 15. That was our last meet of duals or quads now it's time to get ready for the MEL CHAMPIONSHIPS next week Wed. Trials and Fri. Finals at Vacaville HS.

Rodriguez 9 - Vanden 4 (Final)

On Monday, 4/22 the Vanden JV Vikings lost its series opener versus league rival Rodriguez High School. The Mustangs would prevail by a score of 9-4, dropping their record to 11-9 overall and 7-6 in MEL play.

Vacaville 10 - Vanden 0 (Final)

On Friday, 4/19 the Vanden JV Vikings were dealt the final blow of a 3-game sweep at the hands of Vacaville High School. The final score was 10-0, finishing a week that saw the Bulldogs outscore the Vikings 26-2 total. The loss drops Vanden’s record to 11-8 overall and 7-5 in MEL play.
