The Wildcats came into Friday night's game as a slight favorite over the San Elizario Eagles. After several close losses to quality opponents, the Wildcats, were able to notch their second victory of the year, and first district victory, to secure a spot in the Texas High School Playoffs.

The Rangers came into the night with a very explosive offense. The Cats came into the night with a very stingy defense. The Cats had a hard time moving the ball early in the game and found themselves trailing the Rangers.

The Clint Lions came to Fabens for a tough district opening game that had plenty of good football.
