JV/C team overpowered Sequim tonight 42-0, in a full team effort scoring in all three facets of the game; Offense, Defense and Special Teams. The O-Line controlled the game leading the way for the running game to flourish. And the Defense was dominant again taking the ball away 5 times and not allowing Sequim any points.
It was a great game. Sequim brought it early and the Spartans responded. Olympic League wins are tough, but we got our first of the season. It was great to get Luca Scheltens back in the line up, he has had a long road back!
Here is our breakdown of the game defensively:
The Spartan JVs overpowered a good Gig Harbor team. The defense was impressive led by captain linebackers Kincaid Hopp, Wyndham Kochenash, Landon Bugge and Zach Ausmeier. Max Fitzgerald also added an interception and a punt return to inside the 5 yard line. It was a team effort as the offense was equally impressive with 3 touchdown passes from QB Henry Sullivan.
