I just completed my fifth year as Grand Blanc High School Varsity Coach. I started my high school softball coaching career as a freshman coach for four years, took some time off to enjoy watching my two children play in their high school sports, and then returned back with 2 years on junior varsity and afterwards started coaching varsity. My career stats are two league championships and one district championship. I have been league coach of the year twice and district coach of the year. My varsity career record is 85-53-1 and each year I am proud that our teams have achieved academic awards through All State and League.

I have been coaching softball for 24 years, 2024 being my 8th year as assistant coach at the JV level for Grand Blanc. I am a GBHS class of 79 graduate, played baseball, and have 2 daughters that both played softball and volleyball through their years at Grand Blanc schools. I got hooked again by coaching several youth teams in GB Parks and Rec. leagues with my daughters. I then started at GB West Middle School as head coach for 3 years, and followed that by starting the Grand Blanc Attack softball travel league with 10u to 18u teams, while coaching the 14 and 16u divisions for 5 more years. This allowed me to watch my daughters play through their season at GBHS, while helping local youth at the travel level prepare to be competitive enough to make their High School teams. My goal as a player coach has always been to instill in every athlete the passion to become the best at their position, or anywhere on the field, and to also teach and help create the drive to always be their best in not only sports but also how to cope and handle adversity within their chosen sport as well as in life, so they can succeed and become the best at whatever they choose to do. My name is Olivia Bainbridge and I am so excited to be the assistant varsity coach this year! I was a catcher for this program from 2016-2020 and was part of Coach Neubecker’s first graduating class that she coached on varsity. Outside of this program, I played travel ball essentially my entire life for teams that many of our players currently play on. In addition to playing, I have also been a college exposure umpire as well as an MHSAA softball umpire for the past five years. I live and breathe the game, and I love supporting our student athletes! Looking forward to a great season.
