Pine Bush Varsity Girls Lacrosse team came together again for an end-of-season awards banquet, celebrating an exceptional season. Each player was recognized for their contributions to the team this season and to the program over the course of their playing career. The team celebrated a historic season as Section IX Champions!
In a thrilling Section IX finals matchup, Pine Bush upset #1 seed Valley Central with a 10-8 victory, securing their first section title since 2006! After falling behind 4-0 midway through the first quarter, the team staged an impressive comeback, displaying remarkable heart and determination.
In a thrilling Sectional Semi-Final match, Pine Bush secured a 13-7 victory over Kingston.
In a thrilling 17-3 victory over F.D.R, Pine Bush showcased a dominant performance. The game was preceded by a heartfelt senior night ceremony, celebrating the contributions of Sara Barry, Sam Budney, and Sophia Licardi. The trio didn't disappoint, each netting a goal during the game. Lillian Atria, Mackenzie Brown, Sara Barry, and Julia Tanner also made their mark with a goal apiece, while Katie Cragan added two to the scoreboard. Fiona Varely added three goals, while Sam and Sophia led the charge with four goals each. Camryn Kodgis showcased her playmaking skills with three assists, setting up crucial goals. In goal, Grant stood tall with six saves, securing the win for Pine Bush in a memorable senior night celebration. The team improves to 11-4 on the season and looks ahead to the final regular season matchup on Thursday against Cornwall.
