Coach Harlow's Weekly Update
Good Afternoon Lions!
1.Slight schedule change this week. We will no longer have lunch meetings unless a coach needs to spend some extra time with their position group. This change will push everything from a practice standpoint 15 minutes back. Practice will end at approximately 6:20 instead of 6:05.
2. Varsity JV normal schedule this week M/T in the weight room at 2:00. Meetings at 2:55. On the field for warm up at 3:45. Wednesday in the meeting room at 3:00. Thursday weight room at 1:20. Practice done at 4:30. Friday dismissal will be given later this week.
3. Freshmen you should have received your schedule from Coach Curtis.

6. Varsity @ Amat Friday 7:00
7. Parents we could use online donations to our Coke account. The hot weather has made us go through a lot of water and powerade during the games at all levels and we need to replenish our supply.
8. We could also use some protein/snack bars for the boys. I bought 4 boxes for the freshmen ride to Calabasas. The wait from pre-game meal to game time is sometimes a bit too long and the boys need something small to eat to keep their energy up for the game.
9. If you are using social media at games to update family and friends please consider using Blast as well.
10. Game Day Grey Shirts---These are grey polo shirts that you were supposed to be asked to buy when you went in to purchase your school uniforms at the uniform 4 u store.. These shirts are supposed to be worn by athletes on days they have a game/competition. The cost is $28 and will be embroidered with the sport you participate in. Illina Leff talked with the store and there is supposedly a link being made to order online...not sure when that will actually happen, so if you can make it to the store please do.
11. Lastly, I was pleased with our overall performance last week, but we have a lot of areas for improvement. I am going to constantly be on our young men about doing everything right;school dress, class preparedness, cleaning up lunch tables, getting across the street in a timely manner, how we lift weights, meet, practice, clean up the field and locker room. If they fail to do these things correctly there will be team consequences. BAM!
12. It is an honor and privilege to coach these young men everyday. I love them all....I might not like something they are doing, but always love them

For this week, August 31, we need all items dropped off or delivered to the athletic side by 1 p.m. You can call or text me to coordinate at 949.285.9460. 2018 Football Banquet Kick Off Meeting and Parent Meeting
Dear Football Families:
We know its only week three of the season and we all know that there’s a lot of football ahead of
us; however, we’d like to take this opportunity to reach out to each of you regarding this year’s
football banquet. Even though the banquet is still almost three months out, we all know that this
is an event that is special to every player and family, regardless of class.
This year’s banquet is scheduled for December 14 and we need to start the planning, so our
first banquet planning meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 20, our bye week. The
meeting will be held at the Lion’s Den and will start at 7:00 pm. The meeting should not last
much more than an hour.
In order to move things forward we will look to a number of you to step up and volunteer. This
year we are looking to establish a banquet committee composed of a co-chair in each class. By
setting up this model, we will ensure banquet chairs in the future that have first-hand experience
in what it takes to run a successful event.
Being that I have a junior son, we will be looking for a sophomore and senior parent to co-chair,
with the idea being that we will chair when our son is a senior and the sophomore parent can
chair during their son’s senior year. Additionally, we need parents to assist in decorations,
registration, senior gifts, deserts, cheerleader gifts, etc… But most importantly, we need a
number of parents to step up and work with us in acquiring gifts for our boys. For those of you
that don’t know, the gift bags our boys receive each year contain items that have been obtained
strictly through donations. In the past senior parent’s in particular have provided painted football
and framed pictures for the senior class
We know everyone has commitments, but this isn’t about us, it’s about our boys and creating a
perfect ending to the season.
We look forward to seeing a number of you on the 20th, so if you’d like to help, even if you can’t
