Glen Messick

Coach Glen has been a successful coach of multiple sports for over 15 years and has been coaching softball for over 7 plus years. He is the head coach of the Jendro/Messick Athletics travel team that started up as of August of 2017 and has developed a reputation of being one of the best teams on the West Coast. Coach Glen is known for running very detailed practices. Each practice has a purpose for development. His attention to detail and meticulous preparation have earned him a reputation for having teams that always improve. Prior to coaching softball, coach Glen was a successful college men's basketball coach. He was the lead assistant and recruiting coordinator for Glendale College for over 5 years. In 2002, coach Glen helped lead Glendale to their best finish in school history, which culminated a trip to the junior college elite 8 after defeating the #1 ranked team in junior college basketball. He coached college and high school basketball for over 10 years. He was key in helping dozens of athletes get recruited to play at 4 year Universities on scholarship. Coach Glen has Bachelors Degree in Marketing and a Master's Degree in Business Management. He and his family reside in San Dimas , CA.
Always wearing a smile on his face, coach Matt brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to the SGV Dynamite coaching staff. He is a tremendous leader and extremely positive role mode with the girls. He has gift for breaking down and demonstrating drills, so that players understand what needs to be done to get better. Before coaching with SGV Dynamite, he led his 2017 Pasadena Rangers 10u rec all star team to many victories, including taking the championship in the Glendora Battle Of The Foothills Tournament. Coach Matt coached the La Canada 8u rec all star team in 2016. His team was known for it's competitiveness. This trait was clearly evident when his team captured the championship of the Carpinteria Tournament All Star Tournament that featured many of the best teams in CA. After winning this tournament, he guided his team to the 8u C State Tournament in Lancaster. Prior to coaching softball, Matt spent many years coaching youth baseball in the Pasadena and Altadena areas. He been coaching in the area for over 13 years. In 2016, coach Matt was inducted to the St. Francis High School Hall of Fame for his many accomplishments from his illustrious high school football career that saw him finish as the school's all time leading rusher. He also played baseball. After graduating St. Francis, Matt attended Nevada Reno on a Division 1 scholarship where he carried on with many additional accolades. His experience of being a sought after athlete that has gone through the recruiting process, gives our parents a valuable resource when it comes to knowing what it will take to help move our girls on to four year schools when they get older. Coach Matt resides in Altadena with his wife and children.
