Austin Gorrell Memorial Baseball Classic Scholarship available to the Class of 2019 Seniors
Who is eligible to be considered for the scholarships?
- Any Senior who is participating in our 2018 Austin Gorrell Tournament is eligible.
- Students must be attending college in the Fall of 2019.
- Students need to write a short essay, no more than one page.
- Essay could include a little about yourself, how you plan on furthering your education and what the scholarship would mean to you. Make sure you put your name, school, and phone number on your paper.
- Essays are due Saturday, November 17th either to your coach or email essay to [email protected]
- The Gorrell Family will get together on Sunday and Monday night to choose the recipients.
- Scholarship recipients will be announced prior to the Championship Game.
About the Austin Gorrell Memorial Baseball Classic Scholarship Fund
With the help of the teams who have participated in this annual event, as well as community sponsors and generous donations, we have been fortunate enough over the past three years to award over $45,000 to 21 student/athletes in the form of scholarships for them to further their education beyond high school. See the previous years tournament pages for past winners.
