Military Ball Dress Code
In a military ball, service members wear dress blue or class A uniforms while guests complement them with formal or semi-formal attire. Male guests typically wear dark suits with a tie or a tuxedo. Women wear knee- to floor-length gowns, but also have the option of cocktail dresses, as long as detailing is minimal. Patterns and bright colors should be avoided.
Semi-formal attire is basically an outfit that is dressier than what you'd wear to an office but not as dressy as a formal evening gown or tuxedo. ... Semi-formal attire is typically worn to weddings, holiday parties, and to fine restaurants.

Cadet Senior Males: May substitute Air Force service dress with suit and tie or tuxedo.

Cadet Females: May substitute Air Force service dress with floor-length evening gown.

Entertainment: Throughout the evening, the Mister/Madam Vice President keeps the program moving and stimulates table conversation through keen wit and impromptu speaking ability. The vice president also notes and makes special mention of the violations of the rules of the mess and breaches of protocol and etiquette which must be punished by a trip to the “Grog Bowl”. (Guests Excluded)

The Grog Bowl. The grog bowl is an "accessory" traditional to a dinings-out which contains various drinks donated by each flight.

Looking forward to seeing you all there. Ensure you study the mess rules, or you will be sent to the Groggggggg!!!

Sincerely,

Colonel Michael A. Christoph
