Greetings Parents/Guardians/Cadets,

I trust everyone is safe and doing their part during these unprecedented times. 2019-20 has been an incredible year as we have nearly transitioned to a complete cadet ran program with leadership, academics, service and fitness as our CA-922 tenets.

CA-922 has done some amazing things this year and I will be sending out the year in a review soon. For now, many have asked what we will be doing with those activities we had planned for the last part of the academic year. All below are tentative and subject to HQ JROTC and Hemet USD coordination.

JROTC Office Hours:
Colonel Michael Christoph: 12-1 pm M-F, E-Mail 24/7 [email protected]
Chief Master Sergeant Patrick Wood: 9-10 am M-F, [email protected]

JROTC Photos: We have received our CA-922 photos. Our plan is to hand them out at the beginning of the next school year. If this doesn’t work for you, please coordinate with Chief Wood on potential options. [email protected]

CA-922 2020-21 Leadership Application: Will be sending out via Google form soon. This will be your opportunity to self-nominate for key leadership roles and interest in any of the proposed postponed events.

Below events are predicated on support, funds, and approval from a variety of entities. At this point, they are just goals and we use cadet interest to help focus our efforts.

Pali Institute Leadership Training Camp, Running Springs, CA: We will coordinate with the Pali Institute for the target attendance date of Monday-Thursday 3-6 August 2020. Camp is for select cadets (25) with prerequisite requirements met for attendance e.g. JROTC grade, academic grades, community service etc.

Military Ball/Dining Out: We have an operational plan, we just need to coordinate new dates with venue and catering. Our target date is Saturday, 8 August 2020.

2019-20 Awards Ceremony/Change of Command: The target date is Monday, 10 August 2020. As we did last year, we will formally announce the new CA-922 Corp Commander at the end of April 2020.
Cadet Leadership Course: Monday-Friday, 10-14 August 2020. This course is designed for select cadets who have met minimum requirements. CLC will be used as primary tool to identify key leadership roles for the 2020-21 academic year.

Sincerely,

Colonel Michael A. Christoph
