Hello VARSITY Players and Parents,

Tomorrow we will be doing team building activities throughout the day.  Attendance is extremely important, and anyone not able to attend should let Coach Coats know ASAP.   For our Varsity players we will start the day with challenge course (ropes course, team building) at UCSD. This is VARSITY ONLY. After the ropes course the players will attend the Beach Retreat (JV & Varsity). The JV players will arrive at 3pm, which gives Varsity time to grab food and head over.  Players should not plan on going home first.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

- Each player must have the waiver and medical form filled out. They can be found under the retreat event page here on Blast.
- There is no cost for the players/families for the ropes course.
- YOU MUST wear sneakers for the Challenge Course as closed toed shoes are mandatory
- Dinner will be provided by the Boosters during the beach retreat but players will need to pick up/bring food for lunch between the ropes course and the beach retreat.
- Arrival time is 8:30am at UCSD, we start promptly at 9am and it runs until 1pm.
- Beach Retreat starts at 3pm and is at Mission Bay Park, Crown Point.  We will set up on the beach near the basketball courts.  The address is Crown Point Dr., San Diego, CA 92109 and on Maps it is between Mission Bay Park - Crown Point Middle and Crown Point North.
- Some coaches will be at the beach as early as 1pm if more beach time is desired.
- We will end precisely at 7:00pm.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE CHALLENGE COURSE:

Check out these documents for information on what the day will look like as well as a map and parking information
What To Expect (PDF): This includes what to wear
Challenge Course Map, Directions, and Parking Information (PDF): Be sure to follow all parking instructions. UCSD parking enforcement is very thorough.
We will be meeting 30 minutes before our program start time so we can find parking, meet up with our group, use the restroom or port-a-potties (located north of the stairs through the open gate to Spanos Track, behind the black privacy fence), and walk down the stairs to the ChallengeCourse. The course is a ten minute walk from the nearest parking. It is important that all Varsity Players be present at the beginning of the program. If we start without some of the players, they will miss critical information that sets them up for success for the rest of the program.  If we have to begin late, we cannot guarantee that we will finish on time.

YOU MUST wear sneakers as closed toed shoes are mandatory at the facility.
