Winter Break/Official Football Practice
Good afternoon!
In a few months, THS will be on winter break between December 21st - January 2nd. I want to early inform everyone that we do intend to practice during winter break. With official football beginning December 14th, we will have 4 weeks to fully prepare with no restrictions for our first game which is set for January 8th against Hawthorne High at Zamperini Stadium.
Practice will be mandatory for our students and expect every player to be present during that time. CIF rules state, in order for a student to be cleared to play, each player must complete a maximum of 10 padded practices before playing its first game.
Informing you all ahead of time so there won’t be any confusion later of what’s required. I advise you all to plan accordingly so no student will miss out on the opportunity to play in its first game. In November, I will send out a schedule that leads us all the way to our first game.
