Coach Carrillo is entering his 22nd year of coaching and his 3rd as Defensive Coordinator for The Mustangs. Prior to Salesian, he was the Head Football Coach at Miguel Contreras Learning Complex in Downtown Los Angeles. There, he led the Cobras to 3 straight playoff appearances in 3 years and to the football team’s first league championship in school history. From 2010-2016 he was the Defensive Coordinator at Abraham Lincoln High School under his father Albert “Woody” Carrillo, the winningest coach in Lincoln's school history. In 2009 he was the Running Backs Coach at Pasadena City College. Coach Carrillo currently works for The City of Los Angeles as a Wastewater Operator. He resides in Valinda with his wife Melissa and son Brando. He played for 4 years at Saint Francis High School under legendary Coaches Bill Redell and Jim Bonds.
