Coach Bios

I was born and raised here in Mobile, AL. Started playing basketball at the age of 3. I attended The Mattie T. Blount High school from 2010-2014. Furthered my career and education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where I played for the WBB program and obtained my bachelors of science degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in fitness leadership in the year of 2018. After graduating I remained in Birmingham and began working as a fitness trainer at a gym. I Eventually joined an association and got into some basketball officiating on the middle/high school level. After a year of refereeing I returned to my hometown and now I’m ready to be back on the other side of the lines. I’m excited and blessed to be able to share my knowledge of the game I love so much with the youth of the Mobile community!!

My name is Tiwanna Blakley, most people call me Coach B. After graduating high school, I went on to play basketball, softball and Volleyball, as well as, earn a Bachelor’s degree from Tuskegee University. Over my years 20+ years of playing, coaching, mentoring and experiences dealing with COLLEGE-BOUND Student-Athletes, I developed the Moving Without The Ball program. I realized that we, COACHES, are missing a key element to our craft. We are not coaching the Student-Athlete. I love teaching and coaching, but my passion is for empowering Student-Athletes.
