We are glad to be able to offer activities and athletics this year for our students and families. We understand the importance of extra-curricular activities for our community. While it is exciting to return to practice and competition, the games and events will look a lot different than past years. Below is an explanation of current protocols adopted by USD 265, KSHSAA, and the AVCTL. SPECTATORS: • In light of COVID-19 concerns, it is the recommendation of the AVCTL that member schools limit spectator attendance to a maximum 2 tickets per winter athlete for each specific venue, require masks, complete temperature checks where possible, and restrict on-field/court/course presence to essential personnel only. This recommendation is now in effect for the Winter 2020/21 season, and will remain in effect until such time the league determines it is no longer necessary. • Goddard High School will be using Ticket Spicket for online tickets. Spectators will need to go to www.ticketspicket.com or download the Ticket Spicket App. Tickets will be offered to the parents of the students participating. Each participant will have the ability to purchase 2 adult tickets to each home contest. • Attendance will be limited to the family members of students and staff actively participating in the event. “Actively Participating” refers to players, coaches, cheerleaders, dance team, mascots, and marching band. • Fans will be asked to sit together as a family and social distance from other families as much as possible. • The designated seating area for students will not be available due to social distance expectations. • All district, league, and state passes will be suspended until spectator restrictions are lifted. • Any updates in protocols for events will be communicated through social media and coaching staffs. MASKS: • Masks will be required for all spectators entering and exiting all USD 265 facilities. • Participants will not be required to wear masks while “actively participating.” • Game officials will be encouraged to wear masks when entering and exiting USD 265 venues. CONCESSIONS: • There will be no concessions offered at USD 265 events. PROGRAMS: • Game Rosters will be accessed electronically via QR codes. MEDIA AND STREAMING: • Media attending will be welcomed and encouraged at all of our contests with their student or media credentials • Members of the working media will be required to follow all additional protocols regarding masks and social distancing. • Streaming through NFHS will occur at any events played at the District Stadium or in the Main Gym at GHS. A subscription will necessary and can be purchased at nfhsnetwork.com. Games played in the Auxiliary gym will be streamed through Facebook Live. MISC: • Water fountains will not be available. Bottle fillers will be open at certain venues. • We are asking fans not to arrive before admission gates open and exit the facilities immediately following the contest. No access to players or coaches will be allowed.
